approximately 450 words (+/-50, meaning any length from 400 to 500 words would be acceptable). The focus when grading this assignment will be on your critical thinking and media literacy, not your writing. Short paragraphs or a bulleted list would work fine for this assignment. To earn top marks, I expect your Midterm to draw on much of what you’ve learned so far this quarter, including media literacy and an understanding of the strengths and weaknesses inherent to different media formats. I’d also suggest paying special attention to the role of media convergence and media economics (including corporate consolidation). You should also utilize outside research about this media work to strengthen your analysis; I’d suggest at least two sources, in addition to our class text. Use only legitimate sources and make sure to cite them. I’m not concerned with a specific citation style, just make sure to give credit where credit is due; don’t plagiarize! Items in a bibliography do not count toward your word count. All facts and observations you make in your analysis should tie back in an obvious way to the material we’ve covered in class (i.e., specific concepts, vocabulary, etc.) Here is the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XmI7WKrAtqs
