Exhibition Proposal Paper

Have been created during the time frame of this course Be an object that is not on your image lists. Learn about a new painting or sculpture.  You are practicing using the skills you’ve learned to analyze art on your own.  Be a painting or sculpture. Architecture is off-limits for this assignment.  The remainder of the paper will contain your argument backed up by research and formal visual analysis of what makes your object a good representation of some of the themes we have explored in class.  You will also choose one companion piece for your art work that would be displayed alongside it and explain how the juxtaposition helps the viewer understand your points better.   Your companion piece may be one that we studied together in class. You are expected to cite any and all sources you consult for your paper.  You are free to use MLA or the Chicago Manual of Style guides for citations.
