The purpose of this book review is to compare and contrast the two books we read: Christian Picciolini’s White American Youth: My Descent into America’s Most Violent Hate Movement—and  How I Got Out, and Maajid Nawaz’s Radical: My Journey Out Of Islamist Extremism. For this assignment, what distinguishes a book review from a book report is that a review is a form of literary criticism in which book(s) are analyzed, not merely summarized. This book review must meet the following criteria: Clearly states the topics that will be compared and contrasted Effectively uses examples from the books to support arguments Presents a thorough analysis of the topics and themes presented by the authors using the frameworks, theories, and studies from class Discusses what practitioners can learn from the authors’ accounts to help shape CVE programs Is well-written and devoid of grammatical mistakes, typos, and structural issues Please use Times New Roman size 12 font, 1-inch margins, and include page numbers. This review must be 6 double-spaced pages.
