Psychological Phenomenon Assignment

Select an area of interest covered in this course. Write a 15-20 page paper illustrating the history of that area, its growth and impact on the field of psychology, as well as its role in present-day psychology (i.e. tracing the lineage of theories leading up to the contemporary theory). Include hurdles, opposing theories, and resistance encountered. Include at least 10 peer-reviewed articles. Please note: This is not a bibliography of any individual in psychology, thus bibliographical information of an individual is only relevant if the information had a direct impact on the area. If this is the case, you must explicitly relate the biographical information to the development of the area of interest. Be sure to use APA format. Note: I chose the topic of Social Darwinism but if too complicated, let me know and I will gladly give you a list of topics to better choose from .
