Description

One of the most controversial issues in Criminal Justice today is Capital Punishment (the Death Penalty). The 8th Amendment of the United States Constitution prohibits “cruel and unusual punishments”. Is the death penalty “cruel and unusual” punishment and in violation of the inmate’s 8th Amendment rights?
