Description
There is a phrase, I am sure you have heard, that in order to succeed you must “know someone” (ok, so the real phrase is that you must “know a guy” but that is a bit male-centric, don’t you think?). In this activity, I want you to imagine you have the opportunity to sit down with a Media Industry Professional you admire (anyone, dream big!) and ask them your most pressing questions – maybe about their role, responsibilities, what it would take to get a job at their organization, about salary, questions tied to communication studies… To complete this activity, please respond to the following two questions (below). Feel free to number or bullet-point your responses if it helps with overall organization. 1. Who would you interview? Please provide the name of a REAL professional (past, present) in the media industry – it could be a practitioner, professional business person, educator, consultant, and the like. Be sure to share their name as well as their position and where they work. 2. What 5 questions would you ask them if you could ask them ANYTHING? (Don’t hold back… I am often curious about the interests of the next media generation).
