In January 2020, a US airstrike killed Qasem Suleimani, an Iranian military leader.  Perform some independent background research on the airstrike using credible resources. Briefly discuss: do you believe that the airstrike satisfied the Caroline test of customary international law?   NOTE:  * You must discuss all elements of the Caroline test to receive full credit on this question.   * You should not summarize background information about the military strike, but you should support your argument using relevant facts about the incident. * This question requires you to express an opinion.  There is not a “correct” answer.  But you will be evaluated based on how well you explain/justify your opinion using your knowledge from this class.
