Value: 20 points. ** It is crucial that you refer to the Analysis Paper assignment – especially the paper prompt on p. 1 – to complete this assignment.  ** First paragraph: Write one good paragraph explaining: 1) what your paper will be about, in response to the paper prompt / questions, and 2) what you hope to learn in the process, more generally. Think of this as a preliminary thesis statement: it need not be your final thesis, but it should be your answer to the questions asked by the assignment, in one paragraph.  Second paragraph: Choose at least 3 of the documents you will use for evidence in your paper—from among the 17 documents listed in the paper assignment, at the bottom of p. 1. Identify which documents you have chosen (by number), then write 2-3 or more sentences about each to explain how it fits with your paper’s focus (as described in your first paragraph). This should be in paragraph format, in complete sentences – not a bullet-point list!  No citations are necessary, unless you use quotes from the book. (See the paper assignment for how to cite – p. 3, “Sources and Citations.”)  I need 2 more papers due (same paper, same subject) so I would like it to be the same writer.  This is just a rough draft with 2 paragraphs.
