Do people care about sustainability?

whether people understand what “sustainability” means, belief that environmental issues directly affect their lives, if they go out of their way to be sustainable, or if they think that pro-environmental activities, events, classes increase their sustainable behavior. What is the attitude towards waste management and recycling. Does this also have to do with differences in gender, culture, age, religion and social class.
