“Death of Aktaion” Bell Krater, Pan Painter 470BCE, Boston Fine Arts Museum

You will choose ONE artwork from the list in the Assignment Folder. You must have 3 references (or more if you want) in your bibliography: 1 book, 1 journal article and 1 website. The Cabrillo Library offers an Articles and Databases site, and you may  access JSTOR, a journal storage database. You will write a 2,500-word paper on your image. The order of your paper will consist of the following: Your name, course number and word count at the top the name or description of the object, artist (if known), medium & date listed at the top as you might find in a museum label, a very brief historical review (no more than 300 words) that might include its location and circumstances under which it was created, your analysis of the work with supporting scholarly information (this will be the major part of your paper), an embedded copy of the image, footnotes on each page and a bibliography. It can’t have  WIKIPEDIA OR ANY OTHER ENCYCLOPEDIA  Use the Chicago Manual of Style for your footnotes and bibliography.
